This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious science teacher to gain their first teaching post. Applications from NQT’s are welcomed, alongside applications from experienced teachers.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our dedicated and mutually supportive team of science teachers. This vacancy comes at an exciting phase of development for our school. We are seeking a good teacher who has the ambition to be part of the science departments journey to outstanding, working closely with the team.

Lavington School is an 11 – 16 high-achieving and popular rural academy. The school was graded ‘good’ in the July 2014 Ofsted inspection, and outstanding for both leadership and behaviour. With 72% gaining 5 or more GCSE grades at C or higher including English and maths, we are well placed to soon be outstanding overall.

We are committed to the professional development of our staff, so we welcome applications from new entrants to the profession as well as from experienced teachers. At Lavington, students are proud of their school and want to learn; parents are very supportive and keen to work in partnership with us; staff are friendly and always happy to help out their colleagues.
