Lambrook is an award-winning independent day and boarding preparatory school for 530 girls and boys set in a stunning 52 acre estate in Berkshire. Lambrook offers excellence in independent education and attracts, develops and inspires some of the country’s best teaching talent. The school is forward-thinking yet traditional with a strong family ethos and an excellent reputation.
Founded in 1860, Lambrook has sought to provide the best possible foundations for each and every one of its pupils. Over the years, a number of facilities have been added including a well-equipped Science and IT block, a new Pre Prep building, an all-weather pitch and a senior classroom block built around a refurbished squash court. In February 2013, doors opened to a state of the art Performing Arts Centre and this was followed by a complete renovation of a classroom block to add additional teaching areas to cater for our healthy pupil numbers. Doors to a new 25m indoor swimming pool opened in 2015 to further enhance the existing range of outstanding facilities at Lambrook. An exciting £6m Art, Design, IT and classroom development will be completed in September 2018.
In our recent inspection, Lambrook was rated `excellent’ in every area examined from the quality of pupils’ achievements in learning, provision of boarding and extra-curricular activities, through to the care we provide to our pupils. Lambrook was awarded School of the Year 2016 by Tatler.
