Job overview
We need an innovative practitioner to join our new team and deliver science and P.E to our students from year 10 to 13.
The ability to teach GCSE across all sciences is a must and one science to A level is an advantage.
Key Stage 4 students have 2 hours of P.E each week. We have a state of the art sports hall and direct access to extensive sports fields.
The majority of our students in Key Stage 4 follow a core and additional science route with some studying triple science. At post 16 we offer all 3 sciences to A level along with the BTEC level 3 in science.
We are a new school and offer state of the art facilities in a brand new building. Located across the road from Dagenham East station, we are easily accessed by public transport but also have substantial parking for those travelling by car.
As a STEM specialist school our science department works closely with engineering, technology and maths to develop exciting projects which we deliver to our own students and students from other schools, as young as year 5.
We are looking for a practitioner with a passion for their subject and a track record of successful outcomes at Key Stage 4 and 5. The ability to teach core PE is also essential for this role.
We are small and supportive team with a commitment to CPD. As a growing school opportunities for leadership will arise over time. Currently we have students from year 10 to year 13 but we plan to introduce a Key Stage 3 over the next 2 years.
