TEACHER OF SEN (SPECIALIST RESOURCE BASE) (SEN)

Whitchurch High School is a popular over-subscribed comprehensive school set in a pleasant suburb of Cardiff. Whitchurch High School works in partnership with Cardiff LEA, and a Specialist Resource Base (SRB) for KS3, KS4 and KS5 is situated at Whitchurch High School which caters for pupils from across the city. We currently have 47 pupils on roll in the SRB, all of whom have SEN statements. The majority are SLD/MLD with SLCD although many pupils have a range of other health issues and complex and significant learning needs. The pupils are taught in year groups with class sizes of up to 10. All groups have as a minimum one dedicated Teaching Assistant, and the pupils are predominantly taught by SRB SEN specialist teachers. Some provision within each year group’s timetable includes lessons with mainstream staff.
