At Graveney, we are committed to delivering a broad and exciting curriculum to all of our students. We are a school with the highest aspirations and ensure exemplary standards of behaviour. We consistently achieve outstanding examination outcomes at both GCSE and A level; however, we believe in far more than academic success. Our curriculum encompasses a full range of experiences that will develop our students into confident, resilient and successful young adults with the prospect of a great future. In an increasingly digital and automated world, we believe that studying Computing is vital to ensure our students can access the future job opportunities in this field. Therefore all students study the subject until Year 9 and we are proud that many students opt to continue this into GCSE and A level.

Applications are welcome from experienced SEND and qualified SEND teachers, as well as others with extensive knowledge and experience of working with students with a range of additional needs, to join our progressive and successful SEND department.  You will be key in ensuring our students achieve excellent outcomes within a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

The Department has a high profile in school, employs a range of dynamic teaching styles, and is committed to innovative curriculum development.  Ofsted reports that the care and education of those with SEND is outstanding.  We currently have 58 students with EHCPs and cater for a wide range of needs [ASC, SLCN and SEMH being the largest groups).  You will have the opportunity to teach small groups across the Key Stages 3 and 4 and may also work with some Key Stage 5 students.
