TEACHER of SEND

Required for January - March 2020 

The Learning Development Programme wish to appoint a suitably qualified teacher of Special Educational Needs to join their team on a temporary full-time basis for Lent Term 2020.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the specialist provision for pupils (from Year 7 to year 13) with an identified need. 

This is facilitated through individual, paired and small group (up to 4) lessons as well collaborating closely with classroom teachers and pastoral practitioners to ensure pupils have the appropriate support within their lessons. 

Experience of writing, implementing and monitoring support and care plans is desirable as is the ability to assess pupils to identify areas of need.

Knowledge of access arrangements would be beneficial as the role involves taking an active part in gathering evidence to support these requirements. 

The role will be line-managed by the SENCO and supported by the Access Arrangements Coordinator

We welcome applications from both, newly qualified teachers (NQT), as well as more experienced practitioners. NQTs can benefit from our structured, recognised induction and mentoring programme.
