We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified Sociology teacher to join our outstanding school from September 2023 to teach A Level Sociology to motivated students. The ability to teach RMPS (Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies) or another Humanities or Social Science subject would be an advantage.  This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving department and join our dedicated team of staff.

Clitheroe Royal Grammar School is a mixed selective 11-18 Academy School with 1414 on roll (including 664 in the Sixth Form). Clitheroe is an attractive town with many facilities and resources, approximately one hour’s travel from Manchester and Leeds and within 30 minutes of the West Coast Mainline in Preston. About Clitheroe Royal Grammar School

Since our foundation in 1554 our school has provided a centre of excellence, offering superb teaching and learning opportunities. Clitheroe Royal Grammar School is a mixed selective 11-18 Single Academy Trust. The Main School (Years 7-11) is at our Chatburn Road site where we currently have 782 students on roll, set to increase to 900 by September 2027.

The Sixth Form Centre is housed at the York Street site. We have 650 students in our Sixth Form from over 40 secondary schools. Students study a wide range of A Level subjects. The majority of our Sixth Form students go on to Higher Education, with most progressing to their first choice destination.
