Job overview

Teacher of Spanish

MPS/UPS

Full time

Maternity cover, for September 2017

Camden is a successful school. We have been identified five times by government ministers as one of the top 100 schools in the country. The school has also been described as “outstanding” by Ofsted in March 2005 and again in December 2007.

We wish to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join our outstandingly successful Modern Foreign Languages department. Language learning is highly prized by the school, with almost all girls taking either French or Spanish through to GCSE. Exam outcomes are outstanding. The department offers French and Spanish at A Level with 26 currently taking French and 35 Spanish. The department promotes the value of the spoken language and runs a range of clubs and cultural activities for students. The department is well-supported each year by a language assistant and offers trips abroad and student exchanges to enhance students’ experience of language learning. The school is fortunate to have a well-stocked library and a full time librarian.

The closing date is 12pm, 20 June 2017

Interviews will take place 22/23 June 2017.

Application forms and details about the school and department are available on request or on our website. Completed application forms to be returned to the Headteacher’s office on csg@csg.school
