The Royal School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Spanish with French teacher to join our highly motivated and experienced languages team. The aptitude to teach a wide range of abilities from ages 11-18 is essential. We are looking for someone who can teach Spanish and French to GCSE and A level. Ambition and passion for the subject is crucial. Applications are invited from experienced teachers and NQT’s to join our highly committed, outstanding team. 

The languages department is at an important stage in its growth and development with driving the highest standards further forward. With a recently appointed Subject Leader, our team of teachers strive to inspire and engage through using a wide range of pedagogical approaches; enabling our pupils to enjoy the benefits of a creative and innovative learning environment.

The Department will be housed in a new suite of rooms from September 2018 as part of our building programme.  In year 7 and 8 pupils study all three languages and GCSEs start in year 9. Regular pupil tracking is carried out based on the four MFL skills. MFL is an enthusiastic and well-established department who seek to offer the best opportunities for students which include trips abroad, day visits, competitions and much more. 

The Royal School is at an exciting time of development. The new day and boarding free school is an all-through (Reception to Y13) ‘independent’ school without day fees whilst still providing excellent boarding at affordable fees. Alongside the growth in pupil numbers, there will be an expansion in the curriculum, enrichment activities and improved facilities, enabling us to extend and enhance still further the range of opportunities for all our young people.

The Royal School Wolverhampton is a co-educational, all-through free school based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, for students aged 4-19. The school is non-selective and non-denominational.   

The Royal School was founded in 1850 as an orphanage by a local philanthropist and businessman, John Lees.    

Boarders can join the school from age 10 upwards and stay in one of its single-sex boarding houses. Boarding accommodation is in spacious and well-equipped 25-acre grounds surrounded by woodlands, offering a secure and peaceful environment with the convenience of an urban setting.
