At Inverurie Academy we offer a wide range of Certificated classes in the Senior Phase - Graphic Communications, Engineering Science, Practical Metalwork, Practical Woodwork. With a Thriving Technical Department comprising 5 Full Time experienced members of staff there is scope to develop your skills across the Curriculum from N4 to National Higher. We also offer Technical Classes at all levels of BGE including personalisation opportunities in S3. The faculty Team is involved in wider achievement opportunities for pupils across the school from Remotely Operated Vehicle Competitions, Rock Challenge Set Building Support, Young Enterprise Competitions, Careers Events, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and Sporting Activities and the school embraces involvement in new initiatives you may bring to us
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Salary for this post will be in accordance with SNCT agreements. Applicants must be or eligible to be fully GTC Scotland registered.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
