Teacher of Technology

Required from January 2018, full time or part time (Minimum 0.4)

Are you an inspirational, dedicated teacher who is committed to raising expectations and attainment? Do you consistently deliver well planned lessons, track individual pupil progress and provide structured feedback?

You will join our enthusiastic and collaborative Technology team, teaching Design and Technology and Engineering across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.

We are really privileged with our state of the art Mendip Studio School build, with specialist rooms and workshops which are well equipped and resourced allowing students to access a wide range of specialist industry standard equipment and CAD/CAM/3D Printers with technical support by well qualified and experienced Technicians.

Dragonfly Multi Academy Trust (MAT) incorporates Mendip Studio School, Writhlington School, a Sixth Form and Peasedown St John Primary School. With the exception of the Primary School, all are located on a large modern campus that benefits from exceptional media facilities, a 400-seat theatre and a Community Sports Centre. All students and teachers have their own iPad for use in school and at home to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

New staff ideas are encouraged and there are endless opportunities to lead and to contribute to its wide range of extra-curricular activities: a large Combined Cadet Force, international links with China, Tanzania & Rwanda that support the 14-19 curriculum and an internationally recognised orchid project.

If you would like to work in a collaborative, forward-thinking and supportive school, apply by 11.00 am, Friday 13th October 2017.

Interviews will be held week commencing 16th October 2017.
