The role

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious teacher of Technology (KS3-KS5), with subjects to include Design Technology (Product Design) and ICT.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a state of the art Academy, with excellent DT and ICT facilities. The Design Technology department enjoy fantastic workshop environments, design and computer suites which compliments the host of CAM equipment. This includes large scale laser cutters, 3D printers and CNC routers. We utilise these new technologies alongside more traditional fabrication methods in numerous projects with all years, especially GCSE and A-Level students. 

The Academy uses a variety of media and ICT based devices to enable students to produce assignments and research topics.  

The department also benefits from an amazing Food Technology teaching area that is equipped with specialist work surfaces, blast chiller and gas/electric cookers. Our fantastic facilities help maximise the opportunities for all of our students at Q3 Academy.  

Some of our staff and students also had the opportunity to appear in the "Get into Teaching" advertisements whilst filming has taken place at both our Great Barr and Langley sites.
