In Suffolk, we continue to develop a team that can deliver services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) that are amongst the best and most innovative in England. Our management team is passionate about transforming the experiences of Suffolk children, young people and their families.

We are working closely with our family representatives and our partners in health and social care to achieve this, but we still have a great deal to do. If you share our values and ambitions, we would love you to join our team.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified and highly skilled teacher who will provide the best quality learning opportunities and experiences for our children and young people with hearing loss.

You will:

  • work with the Head of Service and the Hearing Impairment (HI) team
  • contribute to the effective development and high-quality delivery of countywide services for deaf and hearing-impaired children and their families
  • work in partnership with families, health colleagues and wider organisations to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The HI team are strong advocates for our children and young people and work tirelessly to ensure their inclusion and success in learning.

Line managed by the Head of Service Hearing Impairment; you will sit within Suffolk County Council's Inclusion Service.
