The Role

We seek a visionary STEM teacher with an unwavering passion for developing innovative learning through nurturing technology, research and inquiry skills, knowledge and understanding, and who will inspire and guide our students in STEM subjects. You will also be responsible for fostering students’ passion for learning, and creating an engaging and dynamic classroom environment, where students feel empowered to develop their STEM skills, apply them effectively and realise their dreams and aspirations. ·     Assessment: Allow for diverse ways of demonstrating evidence of learning in order to evaluate and monitor progress and provide constructive feedback and support to students, parents and teachers.

·     Resourcefulness: Use resources effectively to enable students to excel in their learning journey.

·     Professional Learning: Participate in professional learning and contribute to regular staff training/meetings

Person Profile and Qualifications

·     Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

·     Must have an EU passport or already have the right to work in Spain.

·     Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry or Biology, with either Mathematics or Computer Science.

·     Valid Teaching Qualification - PGCE/BEd or equivalent, EU-recognised preferred.

·     Strong STEM experience in international schools, with experience of teaching upper primary and middle school physics, chemistry or biology, including a track record of success in Olympiads and/or competitive international examinations.

·     Strong knowledge of, and experience of teaching inquiry-based, interdisciplinary, project-based and research skills, and their application in real-world contexts.

·     Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.

·     Accomplished in using technology and digital tools to enhance learning and teaching.

·     Familiarity with current international standards and best practices in STEM education.
