We are seeking an outstanding teacher to join our thriving and well-resourced visual art department. Icknield has a strong reputation as a creative school where all students take a visual art subject to GCSE level.
The successful candidate will join our outstanding teaching team of 9 specialist teachers, delivering a range of lessons including Art and Design, Fashion and Textiles, Graphics and Digital Media and Film.
The ideal candidate will have a diverse artistic background, with the creativity and adaptability to teach across a range of creative subjects. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed, enthusiastic, highly motivated and talented teacher who is:

About Icknield High School
Located in the city of Luton, Bedfordshire, Icknield High School is a secondary academy, with a specialist status in art. Although the school has no sixth form, it has around 1400 pupils aged 11-16 in a co-educational setting, making it considerably larger than the average school of its type. Icknield School has an extremely culturally diverse catchment area, a fact reflected in the school’s student intake. Although the vast majority of teaching take place in school, a small number of students do make use of local off-site provision for particular subjects or needs.
