Job overview

We are looking for a talented graduate of Welsh to join our outstanding team.

Would you like to work in a school where "excellence for and from all" is central to its ethos? If so, then we would love to hear from you.

The Bishop of Llandaff is an 11-18 co-educational Church-in-Wales High School. Located in the heart of Llandaff, the school is heavily oversubscribed and students attend from all over the city and in the surrounding authorities.

Standards at the school are very high. In 2016, the school achieved record-breaking examination results at both GCSE and A Level for the second year in a row. At GCSE, 99% of students gained 5 or more A*-C grades at GCSE, with 89% including English and mathematics; 35% of students achieved 5 or more A*-A grades, while nearly 40% of all grades were at A*-A. The pass rate at A Level was 99%, with 86% gaining A*-C and 64% of all grades at A*-B. However, the school is more than just about examination outcomes. Students take part in a broad range of activities that help them become "well-rounded" and our strong Christian ethos helps shape our students to become positive role models in our society. It genuinely is a happy place to learn and work!

We are looking for a highly effective teacher to join us in September 2017 and help the school to become the 'best in Wales'. We are fully committed to this ambition and shall leave no stone unturned in pursuit of our goal. This role would be ideal for an ambitious newly qualified member of staff, looking to start their career in an exciting environment where their talents will be nurtured. Similarly, for an experienced member of staff who wishes to join one of most successful Welsh teams in the country.

Please download our application pack for more details. Also, we welcome potential applicants to come and see us in action. We are open to visitors every day!

Closing date for applications: Thursday 19th January 2017 at 12 noon

Rydym yn chwilio am athro neu athrawes t/dalentog y Gymraeg i ymuno â’n tim rhagorol.

Hoffech chi weithio mewn ysgol lle mae "rhagoriaeth i bawb a chan bawb” yn ganolog i naws yr ysgol? Os felly, hoffem glywed gennych.

Mae Ysgol Uwchradd Esgob Llandaf yn ysgol eglwysig ar gyfer disgyblion 11-18 eu hoedran. Wedi’i lleoli yng nghalon Llandâf, mae’r ysgol yn or-boblogaidd gyda disgyblion o bob ran o Gaerdydd a thu hwnt.

Mae safonau yn yr ysgol yn uchel iawn. Yn 2016, llwyddodd yr ysgol gael canlyniadau oedd yn torri recordiau’r ysgol yn y TGAU ac yn Lefel A am yr ail flwyddyn yn olynol. Yn TGAU, llwyddodd 99% o ddisgyblion  ennill  graddau A*-C mewn 5 neu fwy pwnc, gyda 89% ohonynt yn ennill Saesneg a Mathemateg yn ogystal; llwyddodd 35% ennill graddau A*-A mewn 5 neu fwy pwnc, tra bod 40% o raddau cyfan yr ysgol yn radd A*- A. Yn Lefel A, roedd 99% o ddisgyblion yn llwyddiannus, gyda 86% yn ennill graddau A*-C a 64% yn ennill graddau A*-B. Fodd bynnag, mae’r ysgol yn llawer mwy na chanlyniadau arholiad. Mae myfyrwyr yn cymryd rhan mewn nifer helaeth o weithgareddau sydd yn eu helpu i ddyfod yn unigolion cyflawn ac felly hefyd, ein naws gristion gryf sydd yn helpu creu rôl-fodelau positif ar gyfer ein cymdeithas. Yn wir, mae’n lle hapus i ddysgu a gweithio!  Rydym yn chwilio am athro/athrawes effeithiol dros ben i ymuno â ni ym Medi 2017 a helpu’r ysgol i fod yr “Orau yng Nghymru”.

Rydym yn credu yn ein huchelgais a ni fyddwn yn oedi rhag gyrraedd ein nod. Bydd y swydd yn ddelfrydol ar gyfer oedolyn, uchelgeisiol sydd newydd gymhwyso ac sydd am ddechrau ei g/yrfa mewn gweithle cyffrous lle gellir magu ei d/ddoniau.

Hefyd, rydym yn croesawu ymgeiswyr o ddiddordeb i ymweld â ni. Rydym ar agor bob dydd i ymwelwyr.

Dyddiad cau: Dydd Iau 19 Ionawr 2017 am 12 o’r gloch y prynhawn.
