Teacher or Development Teacher for Business Studies

Pursuing our challenge to create a “world class working environment”

Codsall High School is a vibrant, exciting and dynamic learning environment which embodies the value we place on working with our students to achieve the very best outcomes for each and every one.

We are very proud of our focus on staff and student wellbeing; driven in our aims and ambitions to build on our success in a supportive and friendly environment.

The health and wellbeing of our staff is a priority; with an open-door senior leadership policy, a comprehensive new staff / NQT support programme, celebration of staff who go the extra mile and in-house pathways programmes for aspiring future leaders. Please see the "What are our beliefs" document.

We are a high achieving school, providing education to students from years 9 to 13, with our results placing us amongst the highest performing state schools in the country. Through our committed staff, dedicated Governors and supportive parents, we continue to flourish.

Business Studies is one of the most popular subjects in the school and it is highly regarded by our students due to the high quality of teaching and learning in the department and the outstanding outcomes they achieve at both Key Stage 4 and 5.

The department offers the BTEC L ½ Tech Award in Enterprise, BTEC National (2010) in Business, GCSE Business and A Level Business.

We are looking for a full-time or part-time qualified teacher to join our school in September 2019. A Teaching & Learning Responsibility (TLR) is available for a suitably qualified teacher.

The ability to teach GCSE and A Level Business is essential. The ability to teach BTEC enterprise or Business would be an advantage.

You will;

• have a passion for teaching and learning

• be an innovative and strategic thinker with vision and ideas

• be an excellent practitioner

• have a positive, can do attitude with staff and students

• have a proven track record of achieving outstanding student progress through own practice

• be an effective team player and play a full part in aspects of school life

• have effective interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire students and staff

• be an active learner, who constantly strives to improve, with desire to progress.

To arrange a tour please contact Mrs. H Zatte, the Executive Headteacher’s PA, at the email address shown above.

Completed application forms with a letter of application should also be sent to Mrs. H Zatte.

Closing date for receipt of applications is Monday 20th May 2019 at 9am, with interviews scheduled for Wednesday 22nd May 2019.
