Job overview

Key Stage 1 or 2 Teacher Required – Fixed Term 1 year

We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking and inspirational class teacher to join our fantastic team at our popular primary school in Witney.

You will be a vital member of our team, working within a well-resourced environment with children who are keen to learn and like to be challenged.

We are looking for someone who has a proven track record for good pupil outcomes, is a good team player and has a great sense of humour.  The post is suited for both Newly Qualified Teachers and teachers with more experience.

Madley Brook School, which opened in 2003, is a unique school as it is co-located with Springfield Special School.  Both schools benefit from excellent facilities both inside and out and integration and inclusion is a key aspect of our work.  Ofsted visited the school in July 2017 and judged the school to be good once again.

We are part of the River Learning Trust, a Multi Academy Trust  where we are united by our principles and our commitment to working together.

For further details about the post and the school please see the accompanying letter and documents on our school website:

www.madleybrook.org

Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact our school before applying to see how we work.  Under current social distancing requirements, these will be telephone appointments.  Appointments can be made by contacting the Headteacher by email:

mray@madleybrook.org

Closing Date:   Friday 18th June at midday

Strong candidates will be interviewed immediately

Main Scale or Upper Pay Scale if post threshold

Applications must be made via the TES website.

River Learning Trust Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post involves the type of work with children and young people that requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. Welcome to Madley Brook Community Primary School. Our school has a very clear vision at its heart:

‘Achieving excellence by challenging boundaries’

Our aim is to value each pupil. To provide learning opportunities that will develop the whole child. We will encourage them to have limitless aspirations, to have a passion for learning and to enjoy life and above all, have a sense of fun.

Our vision and aims are intricately thread through the lifeblood of the school – through the lessons that we teach, the activities we undertake and the additional opportunities that we offer to each child.

The school works alongside Springfield Special School. Both schools are based on the site known as The Bronze Barrow chosen to reflect the historical nature of the area. The schools are built around the site of a Bronze Age burial ground, hence, the horseshoe shape of the building. The two schools co-exist yet maintain their own individual identities, staff, governing bodies and pupils.
