Teaching ServiceAuburn Girls High School is a partially academically selective and comprehensive high school with an enrolment of 850 girls, 98% of whom have a language background other than English. The school has increasingly outstanding HSC and NAPLAN results due to a strong commitment to building collective teacher efficacy and using evidence-based practices to target areas including literacy, numeracy and HPGE. Auburn Girls High School has developed a strengths-based Positive Education wellbeing platform where every student is known, valued and cared for within a culture of high expectations and academic rigour. Our school’s vision statement is "Auburn Girls High School is a centre of excellence in girls’ education". This can be seen through not only academic results but also through the commitment to student leadership and the thriving extracurricular programs such as sport, dance, school band, debating and competitions. Approval to teach Personal Development Health and Physical Education (PDHPE).
Approval and/or willingness to teach Community and Family Studies (CFS).
Capacity to contribute to faculty and whole school programs and initiatives and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to engage the diverse learning needs of all students, including HPGE students.
Demonstrated capacity to integrate technology into effective classroom practice underpinned by 21st Century learning pedagogy.
