Teacher Primary (0.8fte) (Temporary) (7/12286M) Langholm and Canonbie Cluster Unpromoted Teacher Scale - £22,416 - £35,763 The post is temporary for a period of up to 1 year to cover maternity leave starting 21st December 2017. This post may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager should be sought before applying for a secondment. You will be an enthusiastic, innovative and dedicated teacher and should demonstrate a high level of commitment to all aspects of school life. We are seeking to appoint a creative teacher with vision and a passion for learning to teach in our nursery class at Canonbie Primary School and to cover some RICCT across our primary schools in Langholm and Canonbie. Applicants are required to be fully registered in the appropriate sector with the General Teaching Council of Scotland (GTCS), Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT. This post considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/ or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates are required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council. Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they are resident.
