Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a temporary primary teacher to work within Moffat Academy Primary School, Tuesday to Friday.

This is a temporary post until June 2019.

Moffat Academy is a rural all through school in Dumfries and Galloway – the primary school has approximately 250 pupils.

Moffat Primary benefits from a new all-through building and is conveniently situated on the motorway network some 22 miles from Dumfries but within easy commuting distance from the central belt. A cluster management team oversees both Moffat Academy All through School and Beattock Primary School and this approach aims to provide a dynamic learning environment where all pupils are challenged and supported to reach their full potential both academically - but also in terms of wider achievement and participation.

A distinctive feature of the cluster is the emphasis given to ensuring high quality seamless transitions through the different sectors to ensure effective curriculum planning, assessment and progression from 3-18. The schools foster strong partnership working between staff in the different stages of the school, within our cluster and with parents and supportive community partners.
