We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic teacher to join the staff team at Moffat Primary on a one year, temporary, part-time basis.

 

This post may be suitable for secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.

 

As a class teacher you will provide effective learning and teaching and carry out related activities and developments following local, national and school policies under the direction of the Head Teacher.

 

As part of a 2 to 18 cluster comprising two nurseries, two primaries and a secondary school, we work closely as a team to nurture and support our young people, families, and community. Our staff strive to deliver an excellent experience of the highest standards to all learners in our beautiful environment. Applicants for teaching posts must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT in the appropriate sector.

 

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.

 

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
