Applications are invited from registered teachers who have recent experience and interest in working with children with additional support needs, in particular children who have a sensory impairment. The post is within the sensory team, which is part of the Renfrewshire Specialist Support Service based in Castlehead High School, Paisley.
 
The sensory team supports pupils who have a visual and / or hearing difficulty in the pre-five, primary and secondary sector. An additional qualification in sensory support is desirable but not essential. Applicants who have undertaken a Braille Competency Course would be particularly welcomed. There will be an opportunity to undertake training in supporting pupils with a sensory impairment, leading to a relevant qualification.
 
As the post is peripatetic there is a requirement to travel around a number of establishments throughout Renfrewshire.
