Teaching ServiceRegents Park Public School provides learning opportunities for approximately 271 students. The school is located in the Chullora Principals Network in South Western Sydney. The school is located in the Canterbury/Bankstown local government area. The school caters for a diverse student population with 88% of students from a language background other than English. The most represented groups are from Cantonese, Mandarin, Arabic Speaking and Pacific –Islander backgrounds. The school FOEI is 132 identifying the school as catering for a community from a low socio-economic background.
Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (primary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (primary) in regular classes. Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating evidence based, personalised and group teaching, learning and behaviour programs for students with additional needs that set high expectations, are engaging and ensure equity for all culturally diverse backgrounds.
Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills with the capacity to establish effective partnerships with students, staff, families, service providers and the wider community to achieve improved outcomes for all students.
Capacity to work collaboratively to use assessment practices and data to drive improvement, specifically in literacy and numeracy outcomes.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
