Situated in the south-west of Edinburgh, Braidburn School provides a supportive learning environment for learners with additional support needs aged 2½ to 18 years old.

Braidburn benefits from on-site multi-disciplinary therapy and medical teams in addition to our education staff. This helps our learners achieve their full potential.

A full-time permanent base class teacher is required for our Secondary Department.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education

Braidburn opened in August 2005 as a purpose built school for children who have physical, medical, sensory, learning and complex needs.

It is located in South West Edinburgh, alongside a Primary and Secondary school as part of an ‘Educational Village’.

The maximum school roll is 140 pupils, covering nursery through to secondary age pupils.

Therapy and medical services are on site and staff work using a multi-disciplinary approach.

The Head Teacher is assisted by 2 Depute Head Teachers.
