We currently have the following vacancy at within Longspee Academy, based at Longspee Secondary, BH10 4HG (Slades Farm) – Teacher (SEND Primary)

As a relatively new and growing provision, for September Longspee Secondary are seeking to appoint an inspirational and high-quality leader of learning, who is looking for a rewarding role, focused on improving the outcomes of vulnerable learners.

Longspee Secondary is a specialist provision for young people with Autism and SEMH. We offer a rich and high-quality learning experience for our students, with a relentless and positive focus upon Happy, Safe, Progress to help ensure that our students can build and achieve a successful adult life. Currently, almost all of our current students having their main need in the area of Autism. When at capacity, Longspee Secondary will have around 55 KS3 and KS4 students, across 8 classes. Key aspects of the role will be in being able to deliver a Secondary Subject Curriculum area up to GCSE level, alongside ensuring high-quality learning for your own class / tutor group across the curriculum areas, with subject-knowledge support from others as required. We will offer you an exciting opportunity to work as part of a dedicated and focused team with the opportunity to grow and flourish, within a dynamic specialist provision.

– Be a high-quality teacher SEND experience; either in a mainstream or specialist setting

– Have strong and demonstrable experience of working within a clear inclusive approach

– Consistently demonstrate care and compassion, whilst holding the highest of expectations for every student, their family and your colleagues

– Be able to demonstrate flexibility with a ‘can-do’ attitude

– Committed to continued professional development and the goal of ongoing collective excellence
