About the team
The programs the Construction team delivers are designed to engage and motivate full time students and apprentices to develop the knowledge and skills required for the Construction & Built Environment. We have also recently secured a £250,000 investment to purchase 40 high spec double screen CAD machines and industry quality surveying equipment.
About the role
The successful candidate, along with the team will support the students in their progression to universities, apprenticeships and the various roles that are available in the Construction industry such as surveying, architecture, civil engineering, site management and structural engineering.
What we are looking for
We are looking for an individual who will be able to deliver the Extended Diploma Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment units. Has a Level 3 qualification or equivalent qualification Construction / Built Environment (such as civil engineering, site management or surveying as well as the willingness to undertake a teaching qualification if not already held.

Harlow is strategically placed on the West Essex/Hertfordshire border at the centre of the London, Stansted, Cambridge corridor, one of the fastest growing and economically important areas in the UK. We place learners at the heart of all we do, and were graded as good by Ofsted who commented that ‘Learners make good progress because their teachers plan lessons and good resources that make learning challenging and stimulating’. Our progress measure (value-added) places us as the top college in the country for A Level progress and in the top 1% for academic and vocational progress.
We offer the widest range of post-16 courses in the area and we have excellent links with employers - giving access to work placements that genuinely help improve career prospects. We also run an extensive range of Apprenticeships including higher apprenticeships which complement our degrees and foundation degrees offered through Anglia Ruskin University and our own Higher National Certificate and Diploma provision.
