Job overview

Our learners deserve the best.

We are seeking to recruit an effective teacher who can make a significant contribution to the life-chances of our young people. If you have the capacity to motivate and inspire and believe that you can make a real difference to learning outcomes, then we want to hear from you.

Aldine House is a Secure Children’s Home, licensed to provide education for children with significant difficulties in addition to care and therapeutic intervention.

We require a inspiring professional who is able to use their energy, creativity and excellent personal skills in supporting us to work towards our vision. We are also open to learning any special skill set that you may have to enhance the provision in our education department.

Our learners are looking for someone who:

• Is focused on high expectations of children's attainment and behaviour.

• Can demonstrate excellent classroom practice.

• Has a passion for working with students with many different learning needs.

We are looking to recruit a full-team teacher, ideally who will be a English specialist.

If you are experienced with disaffected young people, are keen to deliver a personalised curriculum and have a sense of humour, we look forward to hearing from you. Please contact Sarah Douglas, Head of Learning, to arrange a tour and to discuss this exciting opportunity.

You must be over 23 years of age to work at Aldine House.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.

We are committed to fairness and social justice and welcome applications from everyone. We value our diverse workforce and aim to work together to make the most of our differences. Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants, who meet the essential criteria of this job, are guaranteed an interview.
