Job overview

Strong teaching team welcome you to a good school that celebrates creativity

Here is your opportunity to join as school with:

• a welcoming staff team who celebrate their inclusive practice

• an established calm learning ethos where the pupils are ready to learn

• a culture where your wellbeing is an important feature of our management

• pupils who enjoy and benefit from a broad and creative curriculum

• potential career progression within our local family of schools

If you are dedicated, creative and inspirational with a strong work ethic we would love you to join our team in September 2018.

St Peter’s is a two form entry primary school located in a residential area south of Croydon town centre; with a variety of good, swift transport links nearby. The school buildings benefited from a £7m refurbishment and we can offer a cleverly designed, bright modern learning environment with good outside facilities.

From the 1st April 2017 we became part of the Folio Education Trust – a new, local MAT with a vision for ‘gold star’ education.  Having achieved ‘good’ in our last Ofsted inspection in January 2013, our current emphasis is on preparing our pupils to be ‘secondary-ready’ especially in core subjects, but not losing the creativity that is a valued feature of our curriculum offering. Ofsted inspectors remarked that ‘Pupils join in activities enthusiastically. Their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is good because teachers make sure they encourage pupils’ personal skills.”

Salary will be dependent on experience and we welcome applications from both experienced teachers and NQT’s.

If you are interested in applying, you must come and visit us to really get a feel for how we work and what a lovely school we are!  Please contact the school office and one of the Leadership Team will be happy to talk to you about our vacancies and find a time for you to visit. Requests will be monitored throughout the Easter Break.

Application forms can be downloaded from the website and should be returned to the email address below.
