Job overview
Ash Trees Academy is a primary special academy catering for up to 150 pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties and those with autism. It is part of the Ascent Academies Trust, comprising five special academies.
We are seeking to appoint a skilled practitioner, with excellent teaching skills, to work across the academy on a permanent basis. Candidates will have QTS/ QTLS and experience of teaching pupils with severe/profound learning difficulties. Experience of leading a subject area and an understanding of autism are beneficial. Applications from NQTs are welcome.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people with Special Needs and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
