Teaching ServiceBonalbo Central School is located in the beautiful Upper Clarence Valley, sitting proudly on Wahlubal land. A small but cohesive staff work together to improve the wellbeing and life opportunities of the 100 K-12 students from Bonalbo, Old Bonalbo, Drake, Tabulam and Mallanganee. 30% of our students identify as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander. The school is supported by the P&C and local AECG and works closely with other ‘West of the Range’ schools. Our school has excellent factilities, including multi-purpose hall, sporting facilities and quality ICT resources. The Trade Training Centre includes a commercial kitchen and metal fabrication and timber construction workshops. Our Strategic Improvement Plan focuses on student growth and attainment, wellbeing and community connections.
- Approval to teach Technology Mandatory (Years 7-8), Food Technology and Hospitality (or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in Hospitality - Food & Beverage (VHF) providing the qualification entry benchmark is met) and a willingness to teach other subjects and across K-12 as required.
- Demonstrated capacity to design, develop, implement, and review dynamic and differentiated teaching and learning programs, lessons and assessments that engage and challenge students with a diverse range of learning needs.
- Evidence of effective classroom management and demonstrated ability to create and maintain safe, supportive and inclusive learning environments that foster positive wellbeing.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, parents and wider community.
- Understanding of, and sensitivity to, the educational needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families, students from low socio-economic rural communities and those with complex needs.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

The successful applicant may be eligible to receive a one-off recruitment payment of $20,000. (Conditions Apply)
