Teaching ServiceGeorges River College Oatley Senior Campus (enrolment 800) is a comprehensive co-educational high school for Years 11 and 12. We are part of a multi-campus collegiate with three middle years 7-10 campuses (GRC Hurstville, GRC Peakhurst and GRC Penshurst).
Oatley Senior Campus has a focus on providing a quality education by differentiating the curriculum to meet the needs of all students in a Stage 6 environment. The campus offers a diverse academic curriculum and is recognised as offering the broadest number of courses in the state, including vocational education. The campus has an ethos of young adult learning which is linked to extensive student support programs in learning support and student wellbeing.
Student teacher relationships are based on Positive Behaviour for Learning. Our core values of Respect, Responsibility and Excellence underpin our school culture. They engage students, staff and the community in working together to develop confident, socially aware and involved young adults who can make significant contributions to the broader community.
The successful applicant will be appointed to Georges River College and initially based at Oatley Senior Campus
Approval to teach Visual Arts and Visual Design. Approval and / or willingness to teach Photography and Digital Media.
Proven successful teaching experience in stage 6 Visual Arts and Ceramics
Demonstrated capacity to develop quality, innovative and engaging learning experiences using appropriate resources and methodologies that result in the improvement of learning outcomes for stage 6 students.
Excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated capacity to support the management of HSC major works and implement stage 6 assessment procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to contribute to faculty and whole school programs and build positive relationships with staff, students and parents.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
