Teaching ServiceRyde Secondary College (Years 7-12) has an enrolment of 1270 students, including 78% students from an EAL/D background. It is a comprehensive high school with an academically selective cohort, an additional class for gifted and talented students, regular classes in each cohort and a support unit. The college has a strong focus on quality teaching, differentiated learning, Cultures of Thinking, collaborative teacher professional learning, social justice programs and a creative and positive learning environment. The college has extensive whole school, extracurricular, sporting and community partnership programs.
- Approval to teach Visual Arts and Photography & Digital Media and willingness to teach Visual Design.
- Demonstrated capacity to deliver quality teaching and learning and assessments to enhance opportunities for students from a wide range of abilities.
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships within a creative and performing arts team to develop quality programs and events within the school and community.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to engage students, staff, and parents to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment.
