Job overview

Required from January 2018 (preferably) at this non-maintained special school for pupils with multiple disabilities and visual impairment. The school educates children and young people from 2 - 19 years.

We offer small Class groups, favorable staffing levels and good opportunities for training and professional development.

This position would be suitable for an experienced teacher or an outstanding NQT seeking a new challenge in a supportive and high-performing school.  Previous experience of visual impairment is desirable but not essential as training is provided.

You will be a qualified teacher. It is desirable that you will have experience of working with KS4/ Post 16 children with multiple disabilities, emotional and behavioural difficulties and be able to work as part of a team. You will have a passion for working with children and a flexible outlook with good listening and teamwork skills. When working with our children and Young People, you will have the ability to be firm but compassionate in nature.
