Uppingham Cairo is delighted to invite applications for the post of Teacher of Music, from experienced and dynamic candidates who believe they have the experience, qualities, vision and enthusiasm to contribute to an inspirational team in this exciting and ambitious new school.

Opening in September 2024, Uppingham Cairo will be a K-12 day school, providing exceptional education for children aged 3- 18. It is located at New Giza, approximately 15 km west of central Cairo and within sight of the pyramids at Giza. The School will offer class-leading facilities and construction is well under way and on schedule. The admissions office has been operational on the school site since October 2023.

We are now seeking high calibre candidates with the experience, energy and enthusiasm to thrive as a member of our Founding Team. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined in the application pack, all teachers at Uppingham Cairo will be responsible for developing and maintaining a warm, nurturing environment, where pupils will develop a lifelong passion for learning, acquiring key learning skills both inside and outside the classroom. They will promote the development of personal confidence, sound values of team spirit, resilience and respect for their fellow pupils.

The successful candidate will join a team of committed and enthusiastic teachers who will lead the way in inspirational teaching and follow best teaching practice commensurate with the standards of Uppingham, establishing the School amongst the very best international schools both locally and regionally.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete the Uppingham Cairo application form, with the names and contact details of three professional referees (to include your current or most recent head teacher if you are or have been employed in a school) and one personal referee.

Please note that the School will only consider candidates with formal teaching qualifications (QTS or equivalent) and a minimum of three years teaching experience.
