The role

As a Year 6 teaching assistant you must possess a thirst for learning. Children at this age are moving into their next chapter of education striving to meet the demands of Year 6 SATS preparation. Working to a high standard and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the day. 

Year 6 follow the National Curriculum, you must be familiar with English, Maths, Science at this level.

Little Lever is a town within the borough of Bolton, boasting views of higher ground and valleys. A higher proportion of children and families live in the Bolton Area, providing a variety of job opportunities in local schools. 

The school is rated Good and their ethos promotes an inclusive environment, where children can learn in a safe environment. They are seeking a dynamic, proactive and engaging Teaching Assistant with a passion for primary education. 

Requirements

To be considered for Teaching Assistant (TA) positions, you must:

Minimum of Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject. 

Can support Reading, Writing, Mathematics up to Year 6. 

Have experience of the national curriculum work to the objectives of the Teachers planning materials.

Able to direct from the Teacher and then proactively integrate into a classroom environment. 

Provide additional support for children 

Be flexible and creative when supporting teaching.

Be able to work between the hours of 8:30 until 15:30 Mon-Fri
