Appointment Date: January or April 2018 for the right candidate
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, highly motivated professional who is an excellent classroom practitioner with a record of effective teaching to join our Science Department on a permanent basis, ideally from January 2018. The successful candidate will support, and on occasion, stand in for the Director of Science. The position will suit an experienced teacher or an ambitious teacher still relatively new to the profession.
We are a forward thinking co-educational Academy with c.900 students on roll and a highly committed and enthusiastic staff team. Situated in a beautiful location, the school is within commuting distance of Bath, Swindon and the M4.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2013) confirmed the school was ‘Good in Every Category’ and that “students make good or outstanding progress as a result of high expectations and students being given the opportunity to discuss their work”. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher who will:
· Be an outstanding Science teacher with a passion for learning
· Ideally have a specialism of Chemistry
· Be an enthusiastic professional committed to providing our students with an outstanding education
· Be passionate about teaching Science and who will bring energy, enthusiasm and new ideas to the classroom and department
· Has ambition and desire to play a significant role in the further development of the Science department.
