TA1-2 - 25 hours per week

PLUS Midday Supervisor responsibilities - 5 hours per week

New Horizons, as part of the SABDEN Multi Academy Trust,  is an 'Outstanding'  SEMH Special school and we are seeking to appoint a  Teaching Assistant(s) into our expanding team. We are passionate about creating a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters respect for others, develops resilience, promotes high expectations and prepares pupils for successful futures.

The main responsibility of the post will be to support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum, both by directly working with pupils and assisting in preparation of resources.  Applicants should be innovative, enthusiastic and flexible and have an interest and knowledge of child development and an understanding of child protection procedures.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to working with young pupils.

If successful, you will become part of a very committed and hardworking team. While some experience of working with vulnerable young people is preferable it is not essential.  We will provide you with high quality training and support.
