Cuckmere House School, as part of the SABDEN Multi Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor into the Secondary school team. We are an ‘Outstanding’ all-boys school, that makes provision for pupils with a social, emotional and mental health needs. We are passionate about creating a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters respect for others, develops resilience, promotes high expectations and prepares young males for successful futures. The main responsibility of the post will be to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of all pupils.  The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, empathetic in their interactions with students, and able to act as a positive role model and mentor for our male pupils. Other qualities will include being able to work collaboratively as part of a team and build good relationships with students and colleagues. Our young people have social, emotional and mental health needs and therefore, resilience and a good sense of humour are also beneficial. Ideally, you will have experience of working with young people, but if you do not, your willingness to develop your knowledge and skills will be supported through comprehensive induction and training programme.

If successful, you will become part of a very committed and hardworking team. The hours of work are expected to be Monday – Friday from 8.30am –3.30pm (with an earlier finish on Fridays).
