As an apprentice you will complete an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification with our training provider LMP Education. The ideal candidate will have;

  • GCSE Pass in Maths

  • Experienced or passionate about working in a school environment with young people
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to use ICT packages
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to relate to students in a pleasant and sympathetic manner
  • Willingness to complete Safeguarding and child protection training

We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences. As such we are keen to recruit dedicated and ambitious professionals who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.

To arrange a visit to the academy or if you would like to discuss the role further, please contact our Business Manager vial email a.todd@bydales.outwood.com or call 01642 474000.

In return for drive and commitment, we will offer an excellent package of professional development opportunities and expect the successful candidate to support this ambition and have aspirations to secure future senior leadership positions.

We are an Outstanding, 11-16 academy based in the picturesque coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the stunning North York Moors National Park. We have been part of the Outwood family of schools since 2014.

Since joining the Outwood Family, we have gone from strength to strength and we have seen improvement across all areas of school life. We believe in a collaborative approach, where we all support each other, staff and students, to achieve. During Ofsted’s last inspection, we were proud when the inspectors noted that the school’s ‘leaders are ambitious’ and ‘have high expectations of each other, staff and pupils.’ These expectations are the foundations of a true, supportive and collaborative approach.

We are proud that Outwood Academy Bydales is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and in its latest report, Ofsted noted that ‘staff morale is extremely high’ at the academy and that with help from other members of the Outwood Family, we provide our staff with a varied training programme.
