Job overview
Can you inspire our students and provide them with the support they require to fulfil their potential? Do you have a passion for working with students with SEN? We have a great opportunity for a knowledgeable and efficient individual to join us in the role of Teaching Assistant at Cornerstone School. This is an opportunity to be part of a team that will be changing lives and positively transforming the local community.
The overarching purpose of the role is to provide 1:1 and group support to students, mainly within the classroom, who have a diagnosis of autism and whose related Social, Emotional and Mental Health prevent them from accessing and thriving in mainstream education. Part of the role will also be running interventions with individuals or small groups and acting as a mentor/key adult where appropriate.
The successful candidates will need to offer enthusiasm, flexibility, a sense of humour and a willingness to learn and adapt as the school grows each year. Experience working with young people with autism and SEMH is desirable.
This role is hugely important to the future of the school, and we thank you for taking the time to consider applying.
Please note that we may choose to remove this advert prior to the closing date, dependent on the level of response received. You are therefore advised to apply at your earliest convenience.
