Great Hollands Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant, with Early Years’ experience, to work 1 to 1 and in small groups, 9am – Midday, daily.

The successful candidate will be hard working and committed, with the ability to inspire, motivate and encourage children, specifically those with additional needs. 

 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate;

  • The ability to respond appropriately to the wide-ranging needs of the pupils, particularly Early Years children. 
  • The ability to adapt the learning according to the children’s needs.
  • The ability to deal with challenging pupil behaviour in an effective and supportive way.
  • A caring and patient disposition.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work on your own initiative.

 You would be joining our friendly, supportive and expert team at Great Hollands Primary School during an exciting time of progress as a proud member of the Maiden Erlegh Trust. The school has undergone a fantastic refurbishment programme in the last couple of years and as a result have amazing facilities to offer including our wonderful café style staff room and modern and well-resourced learning spaces.

This role will be funded by the local authority, meaning should the pupil be moved to a different setting, this role will no longer be needed.

About Great Hollands Primary School

Great  Hollands Primary School and Nursery is situated in Bracknell Forest,  Berkshire and serves its local community by providing early years and  primary education to around 400 pupils.

The school has recently undergone a £4.3 million refurbishment and expansion project to enable us to cater for 630 pupils.

Since joining, Maiden Erlegh Trust in  July 2017, Great Hollands Primary School has transformed itself,  achieving so much success in a short space of time.  The school has  developed a culture and ethos that is one of high aspirations,  care and a relentless drive to be better and to provide pupils with the  best start in life.

The school received its first inspection since joining Maiden Erlegh Trust in November 2021 and achieved a ‘Good’ in all categories.
