If so, you might be just what we are looking for! We want to appoint a Teaching Assistant from November 2017 to join a strong and dedicated team of support staff in our SEN department.
Bushey Meads School provides education for the full ability range of children, including students with varying degrees of special educational needs. The successful candidate will have a varied range of responsibilities, including classroom, general welfare and attention to students’ physical needs. Bushey Meads School strives to ensure that individual needs, interests and abilities are recognised and met. The school works hard to encourage all students to be independent, resilient and able to make positive life choices with confidence regardless of any additional emotional or physical needs they might have.
The post is for 31.75 hours per week (excluding unpaid breaks), term time + 1 week to include 5 INSET days. The post is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2018 in the first instance. The salary is APT & C Point 14 plus London Fringe (currently £16,781p.a. + £840p.a.), paid pro rata for the hours worked.
Applicants should be educated to post 16 level or above and have a high degree of common sense. Experience of working with young people is desirable but the willingness to undertake suitable training is essential.
