What you'll be doing

As a Pre Prep Teaching Assistant, you will ensure that children feel safe, secure, and happy in their learning environment. Your responsibilities will include managing pupil behaviour in line with school policy, supporting the class teacher with various tasks, and taking sole charge of a class when necessary. You will also supervise outdoor play and lunch sessions, contribute to maintaining progress records, and liaise with staff and parents to communicate important information and ideas for planning. Additionally, you will administer basic first aid and attend school INSET programmes and staff meetings.

We are seeking candidates with a full and relevant Level 3 or above EYFS qualification and excellent literacy and numeracy skills. Experience in delivering learning activities for children aged 3 to 7 and a thorough understanding of the EYFS and/or KS1 curriculum are essential. You should be able to create a positive learning environment, manage behaviour effectively, and demonstrate excellent organisational skills. Personal attributes such as commitment, reliability, flexibility, and a proactive approach to professional development are highly valued.
