South Hampstead High School, the Independent Girls’ School of the Year 2022, is seeking to appoint a warm, enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team of teachers and support staff.

You will work closely with one student, establishing a supportive, caring and secure relationship with the child that supports them in their learning. You will develop an understanding of the specific needs of the child and will respond to them effectively, providing high standards of pastoral care and support. You will also be expected to provide wider support to teachers and other students as required. 

You will ideally have completed a Teaching Assistant qualification or possess appropriate relevant experience working with SEND children. You will exhibit excellent active listening skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to empathise with the needs of children.
