Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to support the full range of special needs pupils; providing in-class support across the curriculum for physical, learning and behavioural difficulties and to provide cover supervision as appropriate. You will be expected, if necessary, to work outside of normal school hours and contribute to the running of the inclusion unit.

Hindley High School is resourced to include pupils with complex medical difficulties and children with autistic spectrum condition. Our recent Ofsted inspection has recognised the SEN department as a strength within the school.

Previous experience in working with children of secondary school age and relevant SEN experience is desirable.
