Head's Welcome

Welcome to Beckmead Park Academy, part of The Beckmead Trust.

Beckmead Park Academy, is an all-through mixed SEN school situated over three sites in the London Borough of Croydon:

  • Bramley Bank - Key Stage 1 & 2
  • The Beck - Key Stage 2
  • Beckmead School - Key Stage 2 & 3
  • Tharreo House - Key Stage 3 & 4

We have a total of 127 funded places with most pupils having an Educational Health Care Plan

All of our pupils have Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties with associated challenging behaviour; many have additional needs, including: Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties, ADHD and Severe Social Anxieties. We offer a nurturing approach to education and social development and employ a therapy team, working in a range of different disciplines such as play, music, drama, art and family and Lego therapy. We also have strong working relationships with CAMHS, the School Nursing Service and with the Early Help & social care teams.

We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that can be tailored to meet the individual needs of our pupils. We try to take into account their interests and aptitudes, whilst building core skills and supporting a strong knowledge base. Our pupils are taught within the nurture model with high staff pupil ratios that enable us to provide an individualised approach to learning.

We welcome visits from parents and carers and are proud of the strong relationships we have with our families. We have a shared goal to prepare our pupils for their adult lives and to support them to become active citizens who add value to their communities. If you would like to come and visit us, please contact the school office to arrange an appointment. In the meantime, I hope that this website will give you an idea about what we do here at Beckmead Park Academy.
