Teaching Assistant

Kingfisher Primary Academy has an exciting part-time, fixed-term opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our committed and supportive team until the end of December 2023. We are looking for a talented, knowledgeable professional with high aspirations for all of our children. 

Our ideal candidate will: 

• Have recent, relevant and successful experience in a primary school setting 
• Build and maintain successful working relationships with pupils 
• Support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs 
• Want to make a real difference
• Promote good behaviour and deal promptly with conflicts and incidents
• Utilise strategies to support pupils in achieving learning goals.

Kingfisher Primary, is a larger than average primary school based in Doncaster, easily accessible from the M18/A1 motorway network. We serve pupils with an age range of 3-11 years in an increasingly diverse community. Kingfisher Primary place children and their wellbeing at the heart of its work. 

We are on a journey of improvement - attendance is improving, the proportion of pupils making expected and greater than expected progress in reading, writing and maths is improving and we are looking for creative and inspirational staff to join us.
