Teaching Assistant

Repton Junior School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to start end of October.

This is a permanent, term time position.

Role and Responsibilities*

• Support the planning, delivery and evaluation of teaching and learning opportunities
• Prepare the classroom and resources for lessons
• Support all groups of students to raise attainment and progress both individually and in groups
• Observing student performance and reporting on observations to the Teacher
• Facilitating learning through play
• Work in collaboration and communicating with parents
• Assisting with excursions and events such as Sports Day

Required Qualifications and Skills

• High School qualification or equivalent
• Further Education or Early Childhood qualifications would be an advantage
• Positive outlook and mindset
• Commitment and understanding of wellbeing of others as well as themselves
• Fluent and proficient spoken, written and reading of English
• Clear and effective communication
• Compassionate and nurturing, with a sense of humour and fun
