Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: The Wenlock School, Dudley, West Midlands, DY1 3SB
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | Monday 8:15am - 4:30pm, Tuesday - Friday 8:15am - 3:45pm
Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: November 2026

What You'll Be Doing
Supporting students with their learning, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.
Building trusted relationships that help students feel safe, valued, and confident.
Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive behaviour.
Delivering targeted support and interventions to help students overcome barriers to learning.
Creating a nurturing environment where every student can achieve their potential.
What We’re Looking For
GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent required.
Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a SEND, care, education, or support setting.
Is patient, resilient, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
Can build positive relationships and inspire confidence in young people.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Is passionate about making a genuine difference to students' lives every day.

Opened in 2018, The Wenlock School is a co-educational day school for students aged 7–18 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism, and associated learning differences.

The Wenlock School offers an outstanding and therapeutic educational approach with a staff team dedicated and determined to support every individual.
